New York Diaries 를 가끔 읽는다. 

과거의 오늘, 누군가의 일상을 읽는다는 게 이렇게 재밌을 줄이야. 나는 특히 Andy Warhol과 John Sloan의 일기가 좋다.

 

 

OCTOBER 11, 1908

Today I finally got at a drawing for the American Press story. In the evening, I had a desperate attack of nervous "inability" I'll call it for lack of a better wordㅡjust seemed incompetent to draw anything. I suppose it's the modern and American trouble, "neur-asthenia." -JOHN SLOAN

DECEMBER 3, 1978

Halston and Stevie Rubell gave Bianca a beautiful fur coat. Dr.Giller paid for the collar, and Halston and steve paid for the rest of the coat. It cost $30,000 or $40,000. I'm surprised they didn't ask me to give her an arm. (laughs) And Halston said, "I think everyone should have furs, jewels, and Andy Warhol Paintings." -ANDY WARHOL

 

OCTOBER 30, 1985

I broke something and realized I should break something once a week to remind me how fragile life is. It was a good plastic ring from the twenties. -ANDY WARHOL

 

JULY 1, 1986

Arnold Schwarzenegger was having a party for the Statue of Liberty at Cafe Seiyoken and I wasn't even invited. And I wasn't invited to Caroline Kennedy's wedding, either. -ANDY WARHOL

I've been watching this stuff on Fergie and I wonder why doesn't the Queen Mother get married again. -ANDY WARHOL
